U7s and U8s
No fixture today, so Mumbles Under 7s took on the Under 8s in a lively contest full of energy. The Under 7s impressed with their enthusiasm and some brilliant running, while the Under 8s demonstrated their experience with strong defensive play. Both teams thrilled with fantastic breakaway tries, showcasing great skills. The match ended with big smiles, three cheers, and a well-deserved tunnel for all players.

U9s
Mumbles U9’s enjoyed their curtain raiser against Loughor before the First XV’s opening league match against Porthcawl on a dry and sunny September afternoon.

Both teams with big squads utilised the full pitch and had two games running simultaneously.

The introduction to contact can be a huge step for the U9 age group but the whole squad have embraced it with open arms, cheek to cheek tackling and hitting with shoulders.

Mumbles scored some wonderful team tries with offload interplay coming to the forefront which was pleasing to see as it’s been a work on through pre season.

Both teams defended gallantly and many 6 tackle turnovers were achieved.

More of the same next week hopefully against Dunvant.

U10s
Mumbles U10’s played a hard fought match against a well drilled Gowerton team who edged a close encounter. Some great tries scored, plus continued improvements at the breakdown. Proud of the improvement the boys are making every week. Shout out to Henry Beard who was impressive with ball in hand and on defence.

U11s
With no fixture this week, the U11s headed to Swansea Bay for to take part in the 3 km run. A great effort by all involved.

U12s
The U12s won their second game of the season 33-10 against a good gorseinon side. Tries scored by sam, Kobe, fin & Oliver W. Oliver W got player of the match with a fantastic performance, winning rucks and putting in hard tackles, and getting a try of his own.

U13s
Under 13s Cup at Morriston tough forward oriented game Mumbles pack and backs shut the door in a great effort with Mumbles winning 19-0

U14s
14’s were well beaten by a physical Birchgrove side that have become a bogey side for us lately. Honourable mentions for Jenson Morgan, Joe Minchin and Kieran Perrett who battled hard throughout the game. Thanks to Mike Gravenor who refereed it excellently and prevented it boiling over.

U15s
The U15’s won their first cup game of the season, beating Loughor RFC 43-0. Man of the match Jacob Jones.

U16s
First outing of the season for the U16s & a hard earned 25-12 win away against Gorsclawdd. Very competitive first half, 5-5 at the break, Mumbles scored 4 great tries out wide in the second period to secure the win. Great shift from the BlueArmy.
